SHORTER, ERGONOMIC DESIGN
A Power Ergo Design has been developed by the sports scientists at ASG Bike Science, experts who spend their days bike fitting the world’s best riders and athletes. This performance profile is designed for optimal pelvic rotation, and combines a central cut out to increase blood flow, with innovative Compression Control to track the saddle’s ergonomic advantages.
The saddle is built on lightweight, durable braided carbon fiber rails, holding a carbon fiber reinforced polymer shell to give a stable yet light saddle structure. Upon this, medium density shell foam incorporated in the saddle’s ergonomic design, provides ride comfort and support while maintaining its shape over time. The final product weighs in at just 199 grams in a one size fits all saddle that measures 148mm by 248mm.
“Our short nose saddle design allows for hip rotation, making it the perfect saddle for both riding disciplines, road and mountain bike.†Niklas Quetri, ASG Bike Science head scientist.
INNOVATION AT HEART
Slightly shorter and wider than the average racing saddle, the SCICON ELAN has a short-nose and ergonomic design with a wider seat area, following a lightly waved seat profile. Minimising the seating surface, combined with a short nose design and centrai cut out to remove pressure from soft tissue, the ELAN saddle allows far sufficient hip rotation as well as increased blood flow to improve ride comfort in all riding positions far long days in the saddle with an increase of muscular efficiency of the 10%.

I brought one of these after heaps of research.
Brought it for around $189 or so with a discount code i won on the wheel at the ASG store.
I emailed ASG with questions about trying the saddle and returning it if i find it no good and ASG were extremely accommodating.
Anyway to the saddle itself.
Its a very well build and feels like its made of good quality materials.
It has a carbon rail and a rubberized feel to the saddle with a smooth shiny strip in the middle around the cutout.
I brought it to replace a prologo full length saddle which really ate up into my privates due to the grippyness of the materials.
This one being shorter does not do this and really does feel comfy for both short and longer rides, there appears to be plenty of padding on the rear for your sit bones.
I don’t have anything negative to say at this stage of the review.
The top materials seem to be glued to the underside, so not sure on the longevity but time will tell.
